BEST Ankara

MW3
We organized a MW in 25 October 2008. Lots of newbie attended this MW and also our lovely RA Alecs was here. We started the day with “Get to know games” and after that we divide in to class as newbie and old members. Erkan, Özhan and Alecs presented Committees to the old members. Mert, Sanem and Burcu presented BEST & BEST Ankara to the newbies. At night we had an enjoyable party and on Sunday we went to a café and watched a film. After that we had lots of new friends and we looked forward to see each other in the next meeting… =)

2nd MW with İSTANBUL
The second Motivation Weekend Turkey was organized by LBG İstanbul. 5 BESTies from our LBG joined this event. (Erkan Faruk Özkan, Sanem Çelimli, Gizem Koç, Çağan Yıldırım and Burcu Okur) In the first day; as it was the MW for the new BESTies of LBG İstanbul; BEST presentations were done. After that each LBG presented their groups and then we played get to know games. We ate our dinner in Sultanahmet and then we partied hard in Taksim. Ömer Hantal (the ex president of BEST Europe) and Can Yayımlar (PR Responsible of LBG İstanbul) present us Committees and PA perfectly. Whole day we had presentations and discussions about BEST and at night in Tophane we continued talking about BEST with our water pipes =) At the end of this day we returned to Ankara, and start thinking about the next Motivation Weekend Turkey eagerly…

Workshop with Emit
We organized this event with EMİT Company and 65 METU students. We present BEST Ankara firstly and then EMİT present their company. After that we made a case study about the problems that we may face with during in our life. We divided in to groups and they gave each of us some problems related to departments that we choose. At the end of the day we prepared a presentation about the solutions that we found and EMİT choose the most logical solutions from these presentations. They gave a present to the winner group. They also offer part time job to some of our friends.

Motivation Weekend with Christian Arteni
In this Motivaiton Weekend our regional advisor Christian Arteni had give us training about Fund Raising. And it is organized by one main organizer S.Can Birlik and 6 co-organizers. 45 BEST members had participated to this event. Motivation weekend started with the BEST presentations at 10.00 clock and later Christian took the stage and gave us an enjoyable and benefical training about Fund Raising. After the training we have a party as always:D In this party Christian got to know Turkish culture better while our BEST members improve their communication between each other. The ohter day Christian said goodbye to us after buying his favorite Turkish tea and cotton candy and that moment we started to wonder in which activiy we would have the oppurtunity to see him again:D

MW 2
After an effective promotion of BEST, we organized a crowded motivation weekend. Ezgi Demircan and Elçin Evran were the main organizers of this event. The day started with the BEST presentation as usual. It went on with some games and speeches about BEST to explain BEST to the new BESTies in a BEST way=)</p>


FIRST MW
It was the first event that all of the members of BEST Ankara get together and we had the great and unforgettable presentation about BEST which we were going to use it forever =) We tried to understand BEST and talk about what we did and what we can do after mw. We organised the working groups and learn each other better. Also it was a lot of fun to have an engineering competition and in the party that was organised to celebrate this great weekend we had the chance to find BEST friends...</p>
